Degreasers
Superheated vapor technology (that actually works) is the single most important feature
of an efficient low maintenance system. At Spot Free Technology we know how to design
and build superheated degreasers.
A solvent efficient system makes it economically more feasible to use the new more costlier
solvent alternatives and existing solvent options. Beware of water generating freeboard
refrigeration devices (RFDs) which may quickly destabilize some solvents. Such devices may
turn out to be costly investments as they may cause destructive acid conditions to occur
with certain solvents.
An efficient superheated degreaser combined with working mode vapor line covers, a sealed
top enclosure and a properly designed material handling system will make meeting OSHA and
NESHAP regulations much easier. Well designed degreasers using state of the art technology
create viable options for our customers regarding solvent selection.
Properly designed automated handling systems (where applicable) create high output machines
with minimum operator exposure and uniform cleaning results. We know how to build operator
friendly and reliable degreasers which yield repeatable results.
Aqueous cleaning systems
Because of the rapidly increasing importance of clean water in the United States and around
the world aqueous cleaning systems which can minimize and even eliminate continuous discharges
of contaminated water to a downstream treatment system are becoming more and more
desirable.
Treatment of large amounts of process water to return it to federal, state and municipal standards
is expensive not only in initial capital outlay but also in ongoing maintenance costs.
Efficient "zero discharge" design means not only lower treatment and maintenance costs but
also considerably lower usage of process water. Often D.I. or even distilled process water
is required to achieve desired cleanliness standards. Minimizing the volume of such water
is obviously a huge cost advantage. We know how to build efficient systems. As with degreasers,
well designed automation will optimize cleaning uniformity and minimize labor costs. We know how
