Many people saw An Inconvenient Truth, a movie made famous by former vice president Al Gore. But the real question is what have you done since you saw this movie or others like it? Recently a documentary produced by Leonardo DiCaprio titled “The 11th Hour” made an impact on one of the owners of Simply Additions, a construction company made famous by its website http://www.simplyadditions.com. r />
“The movie inspired me to do something about what I just saw. I wanted to immediately help draw more awareness to the incredible problem we as humans created for ourselves. So many ideas filled my mind about what I can do, but the most immediate action that I could take became very apparent.
I decided to create a new section on our website called the Green Initiative. In this section my goal is to fill it with articles and media content that pertains to educating people on what they can do to help this necessary cause, because we all need to do something.
The goal right now is to create content of interest to visitors of our website, so that they view some of these movies out here and perhaps get inspired themselves to take action. Our Green Initiative section only contains a few articles and some movie trailers for now, but the plan is to keep expanding it and filling it with guides on how they can help save money, go green and do their part to save our environment.
From a remodeling business perspective, we are trying to get people to purchase technologies like Geothermal Heating Systems and Solar Powered Hot Water Systems. Right now we are capable of building and remodeling homes with green technology, but we are not seeing the demand. I think the problem is that people are afraid of some of the initial costs to implement green technologies like Solar Power and most likely the majority of the problem is that people are just un-aware of their options.
As our website grows, we plan to educate people on all their building options and also provide them with energy saving & reducing tips. People come to us because they need a home addition or a new home, soon we’ll be able to help these people see the light and go green with their renovations or building plans. I think that there are many people out there that want to do the right thing, but maybe they just don’t have the time to figure out what those things are. I see this Green Initiative Project as a personal duty of mine since I partly own a remodeling company that builds a lot of large scale projects such as room additions and custom homes. With a little time and effort spent on our website; which is growing in popularity, our customers will be asking us for green advice and green technologies instead of us trying to push the technologies on them.
In the long run, we as a construction company want to be known for our commitment to quality building as well as our commitment to being a responsible business entity. We have won several awards from the Better Business Bureau that deal with having high ethical standards and providing quality consumer education regarding the residential construction industry. Now we are gearing our efforts to educate consumers on green options and green responsibilities, we all have to start somewhere. ”

How can your company utilize PDA technology to improve efficiencies?Would there be a time, cost, or labor savings?

MS Comic Sans.
No, I'm not serious.
Seriously, just look through font directories and pick something.
Note that most "text logos" have been tweaked a bit by the designer – you can't select a font, type "Microsoft" into Word, and get something that looks exactly like the Microsoft logo, for example.

there are 3 approaches to business valuation:
1. Income — based on what your company earns (must have positive cash flows)
2. Market — industy comparison to comparable companies
3. Cost — replacement cost (i.e. what would it cost you to rebuild your entire business to its current status if you had to start from ground zero again) — intellectual property and in process R&D are valued as separate assets.
undoubtedly, using the 3 approaches you will come to 3 different values for your business, in which you can weight them to come to a reasonable sales price, depending on which approaches are most relevant to your business.
if your company is profitable, you can analyze all 3 approaches. if you are not yet turning a profit, the Income approach cannot be utilized. under the Market approach, you will have to compare your company to other comparables at a gross margin, EBIT or EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation & amortization) level.
with this as a starting point, there is a ton of information on the net to perform the valuations.
hope this helps. email if you have more detailed questions.
@SpursSaintsMedia Finland has a lot of trees. Problem with cutting trees is with African countries as far as I know. I love it how relaxing it is to touch and smell paper while you read it and eat at the same time without the fear of getting some milk on top of an expensive machine that has too small screen to be able to enjoy the images.
@maxlimitzz Games are still from game consoles, nobody was playing 2k10 in this video. You can still watch shows on tv…and news from paper only means cutting down more trees. Did you watch the video? It’s literally the exact same thing as a printed SI magazine, but the owner can flick through more photos (and even watch videos) than the page initially had on the printed version.
@AaronBesson the ipad is not next gen touch tablet. It is the FIRST gen of a series of tablets already done by other companies. It’s not even a full computer (no multitasking or full version of computer apps) Don’t get me wrong I love the ipad, but it’s not that special technologically. The greatest thing the ipad has is a pretty package and a great app store.
I prefer my videos from TV, news from my papers and games from my game consoles.
Thats so awsome
I lice sports well im a basketball fan
But i want this much fuk it ima buy the wifi version lol i already hav an iphone
@mc10089 : why would you say the ipad is a joke? just wondering.
They have something like this for USA today and Pop science on the ipad. They’re cool but each company does the user interaction different. So it’s a learning curve with each magazine to know what is clickable.
will that happen to my hands?

Electronic data is a bit easier to break into, in part because people have long known how to protect written data, but electronic data security is still new to some people.

Since any names that are suggested here may already be owned by another party, I wanted to go a different route…
I suggest either hiring a name creation firm or get together with your friends and/or family and throw a "name party" & have everyone bounce some ideas around. Compile a listing of names that you like the best. Once you have that list, do as much free research as you can before you delve into comprehensive research.
I listed some links where you can do some preliminary name checking. However, please be aware that this is merely scratching the surface of what's out there.
Only comprehensive research will tell you if the name is truly available. But, these links are free & a great place to start, so I'd try them out first.
Comprehensive research consists of looking at marks that are similar in Sound, Appearance or Meaning in the pending & registered Federal AND State trademark files as well as the US National Common-Law files.
There are other sites that offer free searching capabilities in conjunction with their commercial services, so I'm not able to post those links due to the Yahoo! TOS. You'll also want to check domain names & yellow pages, so simply do a search for "free domain name search" and "national yellowpages" and the appropriate links will pop up.
Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!
