All the information linked to the hardware, software components, as well as the user configurations are being tracked and stored at the Windows Registry. All tasks performed by the operating system and the other programs installed go through the registry first for some kind of confirmation. As this is the case, the Registry is considered to be the heart and soul of the Windows OS. When this heart stops beating, you will have to find out how to repair computer registry files, or the computer dies.
There are so many things that affect the registry and this includes improper un-installation of software applications. These errors can lead to problems with files related to DLL, ActiveX, and other forms of controls like the EXE. When there is error rooting from the registry, there may be a wrong file association that’s why the system tends to just hang.
The registry can’t say no so it takes in every bit of information even the unwanted ones. Whenever you surf the Internet, you can’t really be protected from viruses, spyware, and malware programs. These deceitful files pile up in the registry and wreak havoc when the time comes.
As the user continues to uninstall so many files that he has installed before, the files don’t get deleted entirely. Many of these files stay comfortably in their assigned keys in the registry and over time they become redundant and obsolete. The registry has no way of pushing these things automatically so they just accumulate there until the registry can no longer handle them all. By the time we notice the symptoms, the registry has already caused too many system errors. This is why everyone who owns a personal computer should learn how to repair computer registry files.
Once all the signs are manifesting: slow system boot-up, random crashes, error messages here and there, or system freeze, you better start doing some repairs. The first thing you have to do is to scan for errors. If you don’t have a registry cleaner yet, you can start downloading a free one for trial. These trial packs can be used to scan through your system to check if you do have some registry clean up to do.
Registry cleaners purchased for the complete set can help you with the repair by collecting all the errors and suspicious files. If you wish to delete these manually, that is possible but it is not recommended. You might end up deleting necessary files. The registry cleaners are often well equipped to do an accurate analysis of the registry, run the scan, and present all the suspects for removal and repair. The technology packed in these cleaners are sophisticated enough to track all redundancies and empty registry files that just take up space.
Investing in a reliable registry cleaner is one sure way on how to repair computer registry files. They have special features that let you backup your old registry so there is a way for you to recover them in case there was a mistake in the removal process. If you want to know how to repair computer registry files, you should start considering installing these registry cleaners already.

Help answer the question about computer hardware
Is computer hardware advancing faster than games?A lot of computer hardware these days such as the 4870 X2 aren't being pushed to the limit in any games.
The hardest game to run still seems to be Crysis which came out in 2007 which now can be run at full settings by my budget card (4850) on a high resolution.

The program you used should have created a backup for you. Simply follow the instructions provided by the program or:
You restore your registry using System Restore. This can usually be found in the Start Menu under Programs -> Accessories -> Administrative Tools I THINK. Restore to a date prior to your registry tweaking. (If you can't find it there just use the search function on the Start Menu)
While cleaning the registry can improve performance in Windows it is very dangerous, as you can see. It's not likely you'll find a registry cleaner out there that you can use without knowing which keys are safe to remove and which aren't. That said, if you're insistent, I use Glary Utilities, it offers several useful tools including a registry cleaner.
Need a little more info to give you a good answer. 1. What problems were you having that caused you to run the Trojan Remover program? What OS are you using?
the way to fix a damaged registry in windows 98 (with the hard disk in place in the pc not as a slave) is to boot into dos and from a floppy if necessary is at the dos prompt type scanreg /fix and hit enter let it run and try to reboot if that doesn't work you can restore a previous registry (windows 98 keeps 5 previous registries) again at the dos prompt type scanreg /restore and hit enter when the interface comes up choose your registry by using the up and down cursor keys then then reboot
Great vid! keep up the good work!
It sucks that people have nothing better to do than mess up other peoples stuff!
There are a couple things you can try to fix it but to tell you the truth it will never be right untill you wipe your hard drive & reinstall windows.
In the future you should USE your anti-virus program(if you have 1 that is) that meens doing a "shell scan" of every download you do BEFORE you open it(the program)!
There are good free anti-virus programs out there(I use AVG) & firewalls(I use Zonealarm) but for even better protection use 1 you need to pay for. Both AVG & Zonealarm have free & not free versions & the not free have more options & programs while the free are pretty basic but work well if you USE THEM!
Thank you.
@micropage7 many says global warming is a hoax
@beachzone2 So I can overclock it and get more speed.
In general you want to do a repair install and NOT use the repair console.
Detailed instructions for a repair install are here http://michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm He also describes how to create an XP disk with the service pack included easily.
If you can no longer do a repair install or find it too complicated, DO NOT reformat and reinstall as this will wipe you out and leave you with nothing but the operating system. You would have to reinstall all your programs and much of your data would be inaccessible.
Reimage can repair your system even if a repair install fails. It costs a little but it is well worth it to save your data. It takes about 30 minutes and preserves your programs and data. If you are not happy with the results, you don't have to pay and you can reverse any changes that it made. thanks!
Looking forward to the other video

If your board can handle it Increase the RAM as high as it can go since you are using Vista 64, you can also go above the 3.3 gig barrier of the 32 bit OS.
When adding more RAM, match the DDR2 800 RAM / DR2 6400 with the same speed.
Then just remember it will only be faster until you get used to using it.
Don't worry if you don't like Vista, this time next year you will be running Windows 7. Vista gat a bad rep in the begining and never lived it down.
Mike
is you used an antivirus cleaner, then they should be good. The best one is ClamWin, nothing can get past it.
@leoncarbon Absolutely not
@leoncarbon
not, it has nice performance.. kingston does nice work how they can use lower power without cut its performance..
@leoncarbon it can mean better performance, because with the lower voltage meaning less heat, you can overclock it a bit more
