This week we’re building the hardware for the RepStrap! Working together with a team to build this robot was my favorite part of this whole process. The folks at Metalab, GRL Vienna, and Monochrome came together to make this project happen. At one time there were about 12 people all working on the project at 3 in the morning and the focus and excitement in the air was tangible. This project was on the same level as the drawbot and the near-space balloon. In all three of these projects, I’ve made great new friends out of sheer necessary and desperate collaboration!

WOW! That's quite a bit of electronics!
Okay, so if hes into electronics you could get him the latest phone out with the applications he likes. or an ipod and docking station.
or if you want to stay away from the gadget side of things you could get him tickets to his favourite team or show?
Or use google and see if theres any gadget shows coming up. if that makes sense?
lol, hope i helped
There's always an ipod or game system like a psp or ds. If you already have those things, you could try one of the new netbooks. They're extremely portable and run as low as $300. With tax or shipping it would work out to about $350.
Camcorders cost around that much. If you're not afraid of building something, you can build a MAME system or even an HDTV for that price. (HDTV projector made of plywood and a monitor plans are on the internet.)
havent you ever wanted to use up all the hair spray so it either shoots way further or blows up!?
an apple is a fruit XD (description)
AAAARRRAGH!!! why dose’nt bre do any more videos?
DOES ANYONE KNOW?
For all electronic gadgets and computer stuff, you can try Funan shopping centre (located near City Hall MRT station) for quality goods or Sim Lim Square (located between Little India or bugis MRT station) for bargain stuff.
One trick is to really know your stuff well before going to these 2 places if not you will be ended up as a carrot (deliciously chop and strew) and always ask for a discount especially in Sim Lim Square.
You might want to consider comparing a few shops before deciding on your purchases -the prices of the shops might vary a lot so going to one shop might be expensive while another might be cheap.
Also know what is in the package of the gadget so the black shop there won't be selling you "spare" parts that is suppose to be in the package.
I worked there (Sim Lim Sq) for 1 weekend and I can tell you some salesman (for their own commission) are willing to sell very expensive to foreigners who don't talk for discount.
…sweet…

You are on the right track they use a higher voltage and a very different plug layout than what we use in North America. Just be certain that your adapter is of high quality the cheaper ones can damage your precious electronics.
